The PlayBox Team Completes British Heart Foundation’s MyMarathon

PlayYourPart Corporate Social Responsibility

LONDON, UK, 01/07/21 – As a focus of their Play Your Part campaign, PlayBox Technology employees have completed the MyMarathon initiative to support the British Heart Foundation throughout the month of June.

MyMarathon was the virtual event that encouraged participants to run 26.2 miles at their own pace during the month of June. Over the course of the month, we were able to count our miles in any way we wanted – whether it’s all in one go or spread out throughout the month.

The British Heart Foundation’s important work is close to the heart of the PlayBox Technology team. Over the month of June, members of the team have completed individual distances of 26.2 miles (42 kilometres) to raise awareness and fundraise for heart and circulation disorders.

“June is finally here and the team at PlayBox Technology are really excited to be taking on MyMarathon. MyMarathon allows you to run 26 miles in any way you want, ensuring that people of all abilities can participate and make a difference” says Neil Thacker, Go to Market Manager at PlayBox Technology. “We’re dedicated to doing anything we can to support causes that our team members care about, and Play Your Part is one of those causes. It’s a way for us to bring the team together and get them involved in activities that benefit the world as a whole, as well as encourage our stakeholders to do their part.”

“July is here and the team at PlayBox Technology have done a great job in completing MyMarathon. MyMarathon allows you to run 26 miles in any way you want, ensuring that people of all abilities can participate and genuinely make a difference” says Maya Ash, Executive Board Member at PlayBox Technology. “We’re always looking for initiatives to champion as part of our Play Your Part campaign. It’s a way for us to bring the team together and get them involved in activities that benefit the world as a whole, as well as encourage our stakeholders to do their part.”

Medical practitioners who were concerned about the rising death rate from cardiovascular disease founded the British Heart Foundation (BHF) in 1961. The BHF is now one of the most well-known funders of cardiovascular research and education. The BHF relies heavily on voluntary donations to achieve its goals, making events like MyMarathon all the more crucial to participate in.

We want to extend a huge ‘thank you’ to all who cheered us on and donated to the British Heart Foundation and our fundraisers during this time.
