PlayBox Technology Asia Pacific, has participated in the FG-ABU Digital Broadcasting Conference in Yangon, Myanmar for a second year. The event took place 19-21 November and proved to be the right place to meet broadcasters not only from Myanmar but also from the whole Asia Pacific region.

StarTimes, based in Beijing, China, has installed 12 PlayBox Technology servers at NTA, the Nigerian Television Authority in Lagos. These are used to broadcast six Chinese channels into Nigeria via a DTH platform.
PlayBox Technology has supplied two AirBox playout and automation servers to London-based broadcaster OHTV. These add to OHTV’s existing channels, also supported with PlayBox Technology severs, as the broadcaster continues to expand its operations.

This brings the total of PlayBox Technology channels operating at ViewSat to 25 and continues a long relationship between the two companies.
The Paley Center for Media in New York City has an international collection of nearly 150,000 programmes covering almost 100 years of television and radio history, including news, public affairs programs and documentaries, performing arts programs, children's programming, sports, comedy and variety shows and commercial advertising.
IBC, this year involving over 50,000 people, lived up to its reputation as the biggest broadcast show in Europe. While PlayBox Technology was presenting its latest developments, around the 1400 stands at the show there was a big emphasis in networked technology and the almost unspoken use of standard platforms rather then dedicated hardware.
Hong Kong-based broadcaster Phoenix Chinese News and Entertainment (Phoenix CNE), part of the Phoenix Chinese TV Group, has gone live from its new UK playout center and studios. The broadcaster operates internationally to serve audiences in Southeast Asia, Australasia, Europe and the U.S. in Mandarin and Cantonese.
