IBC 2011 – Best Ever IBC for PlayBox Technology

Wednesday, September 21, 2011

PlayBox Technology smashed all its records at IBC2011 with a 50% increase in visitors over last year and had the best show since the first participation in 2002. During the five days of the exhibition the many new prospective customers and our existing clients constantly occupied all 44 seats and six demo areas on the 72 sq. m stand. All could discuss business and see demos of our latest technology and workflow solutions.

Pavlin Rahnev, Director, Solution Sales, remarked, “IBC was truly amazing – wall-to-wall serious business for us. Last year was really good too but this year we not only had still more visitors but also the quality of the interest was very high, coming from a wide range of customers from major broadcasters to start-up channels. We had more staff this year to meet and discuss requirements with our visitors but we were all still very busy right through the exhibition. There was particular interest in establishing channels in emerging markets and EdgeBox and AdBox were very much in demand.”

Peter Petrov, Marketing Director, commented, “With the huge increase in visitors, many commented that PlayBox Technology had well proven products and that reliability and total workflow solutions were top of their agenda. The stand was designed to allow visitors to get in touch with our technology and receive answers to questions on the spot.” He continued, “We have already booked our stand for next year and we look forward to even busier IBC2012.”

The traditional Saturday IBC Dealers Meeting included the launch of the PlayBox Technology Partnership Program designed to create more business opportunities for both the company and its partners.

Christopher Ivanov, General Manager, commented “IBC is the place where we share and compare our performance. This year we are proud to announce 10,500+ playout and branding systems sold worldwide and that has brought us 30% growth in sales this year to date.”

New product announcements included Multi-Channel AirBox, TitleBox and CaptureBox for multiple channels running on a single server. Also new at IBC2011 was QCBox that provides automatic monitoring of media files and delivers verification that all legal and technical requirements will be met for successful AirBox playout. QCBox also monitors and allows for automatic adjustment of audio level and loudness during playout.
